This fence had multiple layers of old, failing stain along with embedded dirt, organic buildup, and algae growth. The aging stain had become uneven and blotchy, preventing the wood from properly accepting a fresh coat of stain. Without full restoration, applying new stain would have resulted in inconsistent color, poor absorption, and premature failure.
To properly restore the wood surface, we performed a multi-step chemical and pressure cleaning process designed specifically for stain removal and wood preparation. The fence was treated to break down old stain, organic growth, and embedded contaminants before being carefully pressure cleaned using surface-appropriate pressure levels to avoid damaging the wood grain. Additional brightening and neutralizing steps were performed to restore a clean, even surface and prepare the fence for new stain application.
The finished result completely transformed the appearance of the fence, restoring the natural beauty of the wood and creating a clean, uniform surface ready for fresh stain. Instead of facing the cost of full fence replacement, the homeowner was able to extend the life of the existing fence and achieve a like-new appearance through professional restoration and preparation.
